A spectacular contemporary Thai creation. A 12" highly polished meditating Buddha Shakyamuni sits on the stacked coils of the Cobra God, the Mucalinda Naga. The great Nag shelters the contemplating Buddha, fanning out his multiple hoods to keep the sudden rain shower from disturbing the Compassionate One as He considers the plight of all living things. 27" is the height of the heavy bronze casting that constitutes the Mucalinda Naga. The Buddha image is separately cast and can be removed for polishing. This is a great devotional piece. Astounding for temple or for interior design.
